Hyundai has re-launched the Santro today in New Delhi (India) with an all new K1 platform, equipped with more safety features, updated sharper design and various power train options as compared to its previous generation.

Front Profile

As we had already shared the spy shots which were leaked before the official launch of Santro, we already knew how the front profile of the Santro is going to look. The car gets new cascading grille finished in black with chrome housing and a new set of upward-sweeping angular headlamps. The front also gets unique shaped oversized fog lamps.

Side Profile

On the Side Profile, car gets 14-inches Steel wheels with wheel caps and there are no Alloys in offer even in the top end Variant. Also we can see Body Colored ORVMs with Turn Indicators in the side profile. All new Santro is based on the tall boy design (as its predecessor) which was very liked by Indians as it makes getting in and out of the cabin much easier for even long heighted persons.

Rear Profile

Now talking about Rear Profile, we can say that the Rear Profile of Santro is somehow inspired by Eon only. We get Rear Wipers with Washer on the Rear Windshield, newly designed Tail Lamps and we even get Reverse Parking Camera on the Boot Gate in Asta Variant. Rear Bumper is finished in Black which gets integrated Parking Sensors in the top end variant.

The interiors of the Santro are designed in typical Hyundai’s style, as it gets dual tone treatment all-around inside the Cabin. The New Santro has a dual tone dashboard with Black and Beige finishing and even the Seat Upholstery are finished in Dual Tone. Top end variant of All New Santro will also be equipped with 17.64 cm Touch screen Infotainment system which supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with the rear view camera display. The all new Santro also gets Rear AC vents with a manual air conditioning system for comfort of Rear passengers which will be first in segment feature offered by Hyundai.

As per the new safety norms in India, the upcoming Santro will get Driver Airbag, ABS with EBD as standard while the top end Asta variant adds a Co-Driver side Airbag and Reverse Parking Camera as well.

Now talking about the engine, the All New Santro will come equipped with a 1.1L Petrol Engine capable of producing 69 HP at 5500 RPM and 99 Nm of Torque at 4500 RPM and will come mated to a 5-speed manual and also for the first time Hyundai is offering an AMT transmission in Santro as well.
