BYD has launched the eMax 7 in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 26.90 lakh. This electric MPV is a facelift of the BYD e6, which was the brand’s first offering in India. Internationally, the eMax 7 is known as the BYD M6. Let’s take a closer look at the variant-wise pricing and features:

Exterior Design
The BYD eMax 7 comes with significant design upgrades over its predecessor, the e6. At the front, it features a chrome-finished slat, similar to the one found on the BYD Atto 3, along with sleek LED headlights that come with a follow-me-home function. These are integrated with dual purpose LED DRLs in a unified setup. The front bumper has also been redesigned for a sportier look.
On the sides, the eMax 7 is equipped with 17-inch aerodynamically styled multi-spoke alloy wheels. The ORVMs are both electrically adjustable and foldable for added convenience.
At the rear, the design is sharper and more modern, with a new tail light setup and a connected LED element that adds to its sleek appeal. The BYD logo is placed at the centre of the tailgate, further enhancing the overall look.

Interior
The cabin of the BYD eMax 7 now feels more premium, thanks to its dual-tone black and brown interior finish. The dashboard sports a modern floating-style rotatable infotainment system, with the centre AC vents positioned just below it for a clean, streamlined look.
In terms of features, the eMax 7 comes well-equipped with a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a dual-pod instrument cluster with a 5-inch multi-information display (MID), wireless phone charging, a panoramic glass roof, and ventilated, electronically adjustable front seats. These additions elevate the overall comfort and convenience in the cabin.
Safety
The BYD eMax 7 is packed with safety features, including six airbags (standard), a 360-degree camera system for enhanced visibility, all-wheel disc brakes, and a comprehensive suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for added safety.
Powertrain
The BYD eMax 7 offers two battery pack options: a smaller 55.4 kWh battery and a larger 71.8 kWh battery, both of which come with vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, allowing the MPV to supply power to external devices. The e-motor on the smaller battery variant produces 120 kW and 310 Nm of torque, while the larger variant delivers 150 kW and 310 Nm. The bigger battery pack churns out a range of up to 530 kms while the smaller battery pack option can provide a range of up to 420 kms.
