The Indian armed forces are all set to upgrade their rides! This time it’s the Indian army and the Indian Air Force that are set to replace their iconic Safari Stormes and Classic Scorpios with the lesser-known SUV in its segment, the Force Gurkha.

Force Motors has recently bagged an order of 2,978 units of the latest Gurkha SUV from the Indian Defense Forces, which will be specially tailored according to the needs and demands of the Indian Armed Forces.
This news comes after the launch of the Force Gurkha facelift, which now comprises of a three- and five-door version and comes powered with a 2.6-liter diesel engine, which churns out 138bhp with a peak torque of 320Nm while connected to a 5-speed manual transmission. Cutting corners on the feature list, the Gurkha portrays itself as a more practical SUV and offers a 4WD system as standard.
The feature list on the 2025 Force Gurkha includes headlamps with circular LED DRLs, model lettering on the grille, massive 18-inch alloy wheels, a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system with compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a fully digital instrument cluster, TPMS among others.
