Exterior Design

The MG Windsor EV, a rebadged version of the internationally available Wuling Cloud EV, features a nearly identical exterior design with the addition of the MG logo. The automaker has introduced the term “Aeroglide” to describe the Windsor EV’s curvy body, comparing its sleek silhouette to that of an airplane. At the front, the Windsor EV has connected LED DRLs, with LED projector headlights placed in a separate housing.

MG’s teasers have already confirmed the presence of 18-inch machined-cut alloy wheels. The exterior design lacks the prominent character lines commonly seen on other cars in the segment, giving the EV a clean and sober look.

In line with current trends, the Windsor EV features flush door handles, a choice that is becoming increasingly popular among automakers. The rear of the vehicle maintains a minimalist aesthetic, with connected LED tail lamps completing its streamlined appearance.

Interior

The MG Windsor EV gets Cloud EV-inspired dual-tone black and bronze interiors. Overall, the dashboard is very simplistic yet premium due to the premium wooden inserts and ambient lighting.

The main highlight of the Windsor’s interiors is the largest-in-segment 15.6-inch touchscreen system, with a 80+ connected features and 9-speakers setup. The instrument cluster is also an 8.8-inch digital unit that displays plenty of information. Other features include steering-mounted controls, automatic AC control, 256 colour ambient lighting, and a wireless phone charger. MG has also featured a full panoramic glass roof in the Windsor EV.

The rear passenger cabin of the Windsor EV is loaded with a ton of features for added comfort and convenience. The Windsor EV offers a “Sofa Mode,” which allows rear passengers to recline their seats up to 135 degrees, giving a feel of traveling in business-class recliners.
Additional features on board include ambient lighting on door panels, rear AC vents, three adjustable headrests, and more.

Powertrain Details

The MG Windsor EV is available with a 38 kWh battery, powering a single motor that produces 136 PS and 200 Nm of torque. This battery pack provides a claimed range of 331 kms (ARAI).

Safety

In terms of safety, MG Windsor EV gets 6 Airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, 360-degree camera, rain-sensing wipers and tyre pressure monitoring system.
