TVS Motors has updated one of its best-selling models, the Apache RTR 160 4V, with USD fork suspension. Apart from upgrading the suspension setup, the bike also features refreshed graphics and new paint schemes.

The new Apache RTR 160 4V has been launched at a premium of just ₹500 over the top-spec variant, priced at ₹1,39,990 (ex-showroom Delhi).

Design

The new TVS Apache RTR 160 4V comes in three new colour options: Granite Grey, Matte Black, and Pearl White, complemented by race-inspired graphics. The most significant update in the new RTR 160 4V is the 37mm golden-finish USD fork suspension, which offers better riding dynamics. Red-coloured alloy wheels and the bullpup exhaust are additional updates that enhance the bike’s sporty appeal.

Features

TVS has introduced various first-in-segment features in the Apache RTR 160 4V. These include three ride modes—Sport, Urban, and Rain, tailored to different riding conditions. SmartXonnect technology enables Bluetooth connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts, and voice assist. Additionally, Glide Through Technology (GTT) ensures a seamless and smooth ride in dense city traffic, while adjustable brake and clutch levers provide enhanced riding comfort.

Powertrain

There are no mechanical upgrades in the new Apache RTR 160 4V. It continues to be powered by a 159.7cc, oil-cooled, fuel-injected, 4-valve engine that generates 17.55 PS of power and 14.73 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The other underpinnings remain unchanged.
