India’s electric vehicle market is witnessing rapid growth, drawing the attention of global players. Following Tesla’s entry, Vietnamese EV manufacturer VinFast has launched its first retail outlet in Surat, Gujarat, marking its official debut in the Indian market. This dealership, operated by Chandan Car, will provide access to VinFast’s upcoming electric SUVs — VF6 and VF7.

VinFast has ambitious plans for India, aiming to establish 35 dealerships across 27+ cities by the end of 2025. Strengthening its commitment, the company has invested $500 million in a manufacturing facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. Once operational, the plant is expected to produce up to 150,000 vehicles annually and generate around 3,500 direct jobs.

Bookings Now Open for VF6 & VF7

VinFast Auto India commenced bookings for the VF6 and VF7 on July 15, with a booking amount of ₹21,000. Customers in Surat can now visit the newly opened showroom to reserve their electric SUV.
