The new financial year 2025-26 has begun in India, and automakers are gearing up for an exciting year ahead! From Maruti launching its first EV in Indian market to Skoda bringing its flagship model in a refreshed avatar, there’s a lot to look forward to. Here are the most anticipated car launches of April 2025—helping you find the perfect ride to drive home.
Maruti eVitara

The automobile sector is rapidly transitioning to electric mobility, but Maruti Suzuki has yet to introduce an electric vehicle in the mass market. However, the wait is about to end with the launch of the eVitara, Maruti’s first electric car. It was recently unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Show, where we got an in-depth look at this electric SUV. Apart from being Maruti’s first electric SUV, the eVitara will also be the brand’s first model to feature ADAS and seven airbags as standard. The SUV will be available with two battery pack options—49 kWh and 61 kWh—offering a claimed range of upto 500 km. The eVitara is expected to launch in mid-April 2025.
Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line

Volkswagen is gearing up to launch the Tiguan R-Line, a sportier version of its premium flagship SUV, the Tiguan. The automaker has already unveiled the Tiguan R-Line, showcasing an entirely new design language with distinctive R-themed exteriors and interiors. The SUV comes with sporty bumpers, connected LED DRLs, multiple R badges, and 19-inch alloy wheels, giving it a more aggressive look. Inside, the Tiguan R-Line features a redesigned cockpit with a uniquely illuminated R logo on the dashboard.

The cabin is packed with premium features, including a full panoramic sunroof, a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, three-zone climate control, and sporty seats with lumbar support and a massage function. Under the hood, the Tiguan R-Line is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, producing 201 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. Bookings for the Tiguan R-Line have already begun ahead of its official launch on April 14, 2025.
Skoda Kodiaq

After showcasing the all-new Kodiaq at the Bharat Mobility Expo, Skoda is set to launch it on April 16, 2025. The flagship SUV will compete with the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, and Jeep Meridian. This second-generation Kodiaq features an updated design along with a more premium and feature-loaded interior. It comes with a 13-inch infotainment touchscreen, a panoramic sunroof, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
Tata Harrier EV

After nearly a year since its debut at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Show, the most anticipated launch of April 2025 is the electric version of the Tata Harrier. Recently, production-ready Harrier EVs were showcased at Tata’s Pune plant, where the automaker demonstrated the agility of this mid-size electric SUV. The Harrier EV will feature an all-wheel-drive system with dual electric motors and a claimed range of upto 500 km. A key highlight of the Harrier EV is the “Summon” mode, which allows the SUV to move forward or backward using the key fob. The Harrier EV is expected to launch by the end of April 2025.
Kia Carens

While an electric version of the Kia Carens is in the pipeline, its ICE counterpart is also set to receive a mid-life update. While there won’t be any mechanical changes, the Carens facelift will feature subtle cosmetic upgrades, including redesigned DRLs and taillights, revised bumpers, and a new set of alloy wheels. The interior is also expected to get minor tweaks, enhancing its overall appeal. The updated Carens is expected to launch by the end of the month.
